Right, I have a hunch that the font issues might not be Toad related, but EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) handshake issue, due to a KVM I'm using. I think they are just more obvious in Toad, due to a lot of text showing. If I use Powershell or Windows shortcut to refresh / instantiate the display settings ( Win + Ctrl + Shift + B shortcut) the anti-aliasing seemed OK. So for now, please ignore.
The theme issue with code templates is an issue though and a pain.
