Forced into Cross Connection Editor

Hi All - Having this issue and hoping it’s just an options setting I haven’t found yet. the scenario is as follows:

  1. I create SQL (no cross connection needed - Just a simple select statement from one DB), run it, save it to desktop.

  2. End / close toad

  3. When I reopen the saved file it does not open in SQL editor. Instead, it opens in Cross Connection editor. Can’t figure out how to convert back to regular SQL.

  4. Also - When I cut and paste text into new editor everthing is enclosed with quotes.

Any ideas?
