Hard TOAD Beta Crash

I haven’t had any TOAD crash problems for a while - until Friday. . .

I’m not sure what the cause of the crash was, but on Friday I had my laptop undocked (which I don’t actually do much) and then re-docked it and went home. When I came in today, my computer was off which surprised me. When I turned it back on, I got the “Windows has recovered from a Crash” message, which then explained why it wasn’t running when I came in.

When I started the TOAD beta, I got the usual file recovery dialog but after that, things got bad. First I got a message that the passwords file was corrupted, and then I got at least 3 dialogs with messages that other user files were corrupt. I have now re-copied my settings from the GA and have also installed the latest beta (that wasn’t showing up as downloaded until this morning) and so far things look ok.

I would send my .el file, but I’m not quite sure how to attache a file to a post. So just let me know who wants it and I’ll send it directly.

Blessings,

Phyllis
