How to make it stop highlighting word matches?

Sorry, I searched hard and couldn’t find an answer.

I just upgraded to 12.5.0.99 (ok, we’re a little slow sometimes). Now Toad has this behavior where when you select an identifier in the editor it highlights all other instances of that identifier. I hate that.

I’ve searched and dug through the options menus 'til I’m blue in the face. Please, someome tell me how to turn that off.

Options > Editor > Display: Change “Search mark color” to “Cream”

Well, that certainly makes it less obtrusive, but I don’t see how it changes the behavior.

Yeah, I see what you mean.

@david, regardless you are saying about highlight … this may be a nice feature request … something other interested me in your post.

You say that 12.5 is somehow slower … this is not true from mine point of experience (and trust me I have it working with client’s toad a lot) …

In many times this is related with “sqewed” profile settings … so for the begging could you close toad and rename current profile directory (check for path from Utilities|Copy User settings) and restart toad and see if performance gained.

If is (what I really think) then try to exclude some files from profiles until you find problematic one that make Toad run slower.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Damir, sorry I was confusing. No, 12.5 is not slower. What I meant is that our company does not always update software in a timely manner. Overall, and so far, I like 12.5 better - except for this editor thing.
