I am using Toad for Oracle Professional Version 12.1.1.1. When I use the “Import Table Data” utility, I can’t find anywhere where it will let me direct how to handle NULL fields. Actual NULL fields…no data, NOT fields with the word NULL in them. The only place I found anything about NULLS is where you can specify what to do when the word “NULL” is found in a string field. So,when I go to preview the results, I see where there were nulls.
I am trying to import from an Excel Spreadsheet.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
normally, you shouldn’t have to do anything special - they should just import as nulls. Do you get errors on importing if you hit Next/Finish anyway?
What happens is that the rows in the spreadsheet with nulls don’t get imported. So out of 2500 rows, I end up with 41.

Hm. Well, if you can send me your file and table definition I’ll be happy to help figure this out.

feel free to just send a few rows of fake data if you can’t send the real data.
