Is there any plan to support MFA for Azure? I've been on a thread on the Toad for SQL forum for years now - one of your devs said that it was "high priority" two years ago. We're changing all of our databases to Azure in the coming months - it seems strange that you're not fully supporting such a common platform.
Hi there - we are expecting MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION support for Azure in our Q2 release of Toad Data Point. We don't have a release date yet but stay tuned.
Was that the new version that came out a few days ago? I still don't see it, but I may be missing it.
Toad Data Point 5.7 was released on March 10th
Yes - I was asking if that was the version you were referring to that would include MFA for Azure.
2025 and we are finally moving to MFA for Azure and have been unable to connect Toad for SQL thru multiple attempts. Our team is going back to SSMS but kicking/screaming why cant we use toad...if it is now supported maybe we are missing something...please point to what we can do to make it work.
Hello,
I’m not sure what Toad Data Point version you are using, but the Active Directory Universal with MFA authentication for Azure is supported from Toad Data Point 6.0 version.
The latest available Toad Data Point version is 6.4, and you can get the Trial version from this link.
Thanks for the response! I was using my toad for sql, will download data point. I guess will then have to get /figure out those application ID and Redirect URI , that is not part of my SSMS connection.
Thanks again.

Erwin, Thane would like to recall the message, "[EXTERNAL] [Toad World® Forums] [Toad Data Point & Toad Intelligence Central] Multi factor authentication support for Azure DBs".
