It would be extremely helpful if, in Object Search, the text in the "Search term" box was selected so that I could immediately type over it or paste in the desired value without having to manually select the text first.
I see what you mean. We can do that.
As a workaround, hit the down arrow key when the window opens. That will select the first item in the dropdown. Then you can type or paste over it.
