Project Manager - FTP - convert Toad 9.1 to Toad 10.0

No more patches are planned.

Patch is coming (10.1. R2) in near future – but builds already made and
turned over to support and internal areas – so that fix won’t be
there

Ian,

I’m not sure if Mark has responded to you off-line, or there is another bad yahoo time warp going on, but this issue was actually fixed in 10.1. If you upgrade from 9.1 -> 10.1 your FTP passwords shold be retained and work correctly. However, since this is an upgrade from 4 versions back, you will probably see some other upgrade problems, such as lost Saved SQL. We only officially support upgrades from 2 versions back.

i think you need to use && instead of &

Correct - when in doubt, TOAD will attempt to behave the same as SQL Plus - and this is how Oracle defines the bahvior

Please note that this patch that is coming out has the SAME version of Toad for
Oracle in it, so if you’re on 10.1.1.8 there is no reason to download it
for Toad itself, unless you want to upgrade other software that is bundled with
it.

How near future? We are in the process of upgrading some 40 people to 10.1. If
it is only a few days I would have them wait so as not to have to do another
upgrade.

Or you could join the TOAD Beta program and always be on the bleeding edge of
TOAD technology.
