In this particular case I happened to be working on a code snippet and when I
was working on defining parameters for it I was hitting this issue.
CTRL+Backspace works in the Design box at the top of the snippet editor, but
does not work in any of the other fields such as identifier, Default Value,
Tooltip, etc.
See those little "Squares"? That's where I tried pressing CTRL+Backspace.
It's especially annoying in the Tooltip box where I was typing a long string of
text and had to make multiple edits.
