Hi Toad team,
since some releases (sorry I do not remember since when 
) of Toad I encounter a funny behavior of the dropdown control for selecting the “desktop” in the editor window.
Everytime I start the Toad the width increases…
workaround: use the context menu “customize toolbars…“ and reset the desktop toolbar
