Desktop toolbar dropdown grows massive

Toad for Oracle Base Edition (64-bit) 25.3.346.7343

On making a new connection, the Desktop toolbar dropdown grows massive for no reason, sometimes off screen.

Thanks Paul. I can reproduce that.

It seems to happen when the editor (or all of Toad) is moved to a display of different scaling.

I wasn't able to make it grow by opening/closing editor (or doing anything else) while keeping it on the same display.

I have a fix (I think!), but it's too late for version 26R1. It will be fixed in the betas after that.

Hi John, the problem still exists in the new version, and annoyingly is compresses the other toolbars, so I only see one icon. I can’t adjust the sizes, either.

Is there anything I can do to fix this, without waiting for another update? Having to do multiple clicks for a speedbutton is getting tiresome.

When you say "new version" are you referring to 26.1 or the 26.2 betas?

The problem is fixed in 26.2 betas. When you reported it, it was too late for me to fix it in 26.1.

If you right-click on the toolbar and choose "Restore toolbar defaults" it should reset.

You can right-click to hide the desktop toolbar if you don't use it.

If you hide it, and you want to change desktop, you can right-click in the editor area, then choose Desktop->Set Desktop
