Hey John,
I have an issue with Toad that is not Toad’s problem specifically but rather the Windows accessibility settings that affect Toad. As I have mentioned before, this old man is losing his eyesight, and I have had to make many changes in Windows and apps, including Toad, to make things more usable. The problem is that the AWS templates that control our Windows configs do not save all relevant accessibility settings across sessions. Moreover, some of my apps do not play nice with some of these settings.
Now, I can do things in Toad to make some things larger such as fonts and what not in certain places but the main app menu does not have a font setting that I can find. As it stands now, I can only make the menu font larger with the following Windows setting:
The problem I have with this setting is two-fold. Some legacy apps that I use do not play nice if this is any larger than 100%. Moreover, this is one of the settings that the VDI template resets across sessions so that I have to change it in each new session, along with other things too.
Now, if there was a way to control the size of the font of Toad’s main app menu in spite of the above setting, it would be very helpful.
I bought a huge monitor just for the purpose of making things bigger, but Windows conspires with the admins to make everything microscopic instead. Apps that have their own accessibility controls do better and don’t require the above setting. If Toad could do so, it would be quite helpful.
But, I am probably the only person in the world that has this particular situation so that it might not be worthwhile. In any event, I thought I would mention it.
Cheers,
Russ
