I just installed the update to Toad 5.5 and now all of the connections that I have made and saved over the last year are gone.
Is there a way to recover them? Please?

It seems to me that migration was not succeed for some reason - you didn’t chose that option at first start or there was an issue.
Please kick of it once again -
Also you can export needed servers from previous version as Toad XML file (see Connection Manager) and import them to 5.5.

Alexander
Alex, I just pick up and copy the connections.xml file from 5.0 release or 5.5.
beta to the desktop of somewhere safe. Then after the install and before and the
migration I exit from Toad-ss and then copy in the save connections.xml file to
the correct folder. This has always worked …
So bottom Line I always make a copy of my connections.xml file before a Toad-SS
reload and especially before a uninstall. Works every time.

The same on my side, but I prefer to give advises in common user scenarios of
Toad utilization. Operation with files is for advanced Toad users like you
