TOAD- EXPORT

I am actually trying to export almost 7 million rows from a table and while exporting, am using the option “EXPORT IT AS FLAT FILE”

I am trying to generate the ctl, data and spek file . While I am doing it, am getting “OUT OF MEMORY”. Please suggest me what can I do to avoid this error. I was able to do for the other tables and this table doesnot work.

Quick response is appreciated

What version of Toad are you using? I think this was a bug in 10.1 or 10.5, but
it is fixed in 10.6.

I am using 9.6.0 version

Hm , maybe the bug went further back than I thought.

As a workaround, you can use the Grid-> Rt -Click -> “Save as”.
Use the SQL Loader Format. Just make sure “Display all exported results in
grid” is unchecked (if it’s not, you’ll get another out of
memory error).

Have you tried the Save As > SQL Loader feature instead of the Database > Export

Table as Flat file feature?

I logged out and logged in and started new session. It worked when I exported

Can someone please tell me how to change the connection that is attached to a
query? We moved to a different database and the query reverts back to the
original connection. Thanks!

Morning Darlene,

Can someone please tell me how to change the connection that
is attached to a query? We moved to a different database
and the query reverts back to the original connection. Thanks!

I think you might get a better response if you ask on the TDA group
rather than here. Sorry I can't help. :frowning:
