Hi Everyone,
I am struggling with the Toad installation on my laptop after formatting my hard drive. This is the first time I encounter this problem after many years of installation. The same version is working as before except the Oracle version is different and Windows sign-on as local administrator.
Version: Toad for Oracle 11.0 R2 Commercial (* Run as local build-in administrator)
OS: Windows 8.1 x64
Oracle Version: 11.2.0.4
I checked the below log and it stated the error "Toad for Oracle 11 -- Error 1406.Could not write value to key \SOFTWARE. System error . Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
I have verified the windows registry and the folder and sub folders have administrator full rights. I even added "everyone" for the folder permission.

Has anyone encounter such issue with Toad installation.
