I call them Mark, Brad, and John. But I’m just weird that way.
Norm is my sponsoring mentor.
Blush!
What do we call the sponsoring mentors - Grand Toads?
Toadzilla?

I agree that is a very nice gesture. BTW that is a hint, you could send it with
Darlene’s who works with me.
Thanks,

Hey Bobby,
Norm, it is NOT fixed.
Any news for us? Are you up and running with FreeToad? Hopefully you are.

Cheers,

So instead of following the directions, you prefer to do a hack and violate the
license agreement? Nice.
It’s ok though b/c they mean well.
Yes, even better, they created an account just today in order to post that -
their first here. Well, I showed them the door again, but this “Dallas
consultant” will probably keep reappearing with a different account whenever
their freeware irritates them, which hopefully will only be once a year after
this fall. I’m not sure I’d want a consultant who uses only freeware Toad and
hacks it and violates the license agreement.
I hope this does not influence everyone’s opinion of us Dallasites. I, for
one, have a valid license and would not dream of hacking the software.

agreement.
I wouldn’t.
This is strictly speaking from the perspective of violating the license. If I
hired such an individual, how could I be sure the individual wouldn’t use
another’s copyrighted material for his “solution” in the work
I’ve assigned him?
Ultimately, down the road – whether or not the consultant is gone -
it’s not s/he who would be facing the firing squad with regards a
copyright violation, it’d be the business.
It’s just not worth the risk of hiring an individual who you know is
rather loose with regards licenses.
Of course, such an individual isn’t likely to come out and admit such in
an interview either.

I've already had preconceived notions of DFW-types well before this episode,
albeit mostly positive.
I do have multiple paid licenses (which I'm reminded of annually!) and yet I
do dream of hacking Toad, if only once upon a time to try to get it to
install under Wine in Linux. Dr Bert has since taken care of that li'l
ditty.
