Which Oracle Client for TOAD on Windows 7

To the experts:

I recently obtained a new laptop and would like to install TOAD there. The new laptop has following specs:

  1. Window edition: Windows 7 Enterprise N
  2. System Type: 64-bit Operating System
  3. Installed memory: 4GB
  4. Processor: Intel® Core™i5-2450M CPU@2.50GHz 2.50GHz

Can someone give some guidance on the version of Oracle Client I should install?

Hi susan

What version of TOAD you have and what version of Oracle database use? Because depent of the version of TOAD you use and Oracle Database.

Oracle Database 10gR2, 11gR2 you can use Oracle Client 11g, for Oracle 9i you need to user Oracle Client 9i or Oracle 10gR2.

Toad version 10.5, 10.6, 11 it use Oracle Client 32 bits and versions like Toad 11 and Toad 11.6 it use Oracle Client 64 bits.
