Currently i have no idea how to reproduce this - but it already happened the second time.
The first time i thought maybe i somehow removed it... but i would not even know how
I just reload the user settings then it's back again.
I just had the situation again that the toolbar is missing again.
I noticed it that it also disappears sometimes in the "Describe Objects" window or in the "Grid Popup Editor" - really strange!
I deleted the Toolbars.ini and Toolbars_Default.ini, but it was still gone after restart...
So i reloaded the complete user settings again.
In the Describe Objects window, which toolbar are you referring to?
Toolbars.ini and Toolbars_Default.ini are for the main menu and toolbars tcToolbars.ini and tcToolbars_default.ini are for Team Coding TNSEditorToolbars.ini and TNSEditorToolbars_default.ini are for tnsnames editor EditorToolbars.ini and EditorToolbars_Default.ini are for the editor
Most (all?) other toolbars in Toad are not configurable, so I have no idea how they could become hidden.
Next time it happens...before you reset anything, if you can, zip up and send me your user files folder. john.dorlon@quest.com
I've spoken to Julian about this by email, but incase anyone else is interested:
This should be fixed for the first 26.1 beta.
Until then, workarounds are either of the following:
a) right-click on Toad's main toolbar and choose "Restore toolbar defaults", or
b) while Toad is not running, delete tcToolbars.ini and tcToolbars_default.ini from the User Files folder.
