Session Browser and Shared Pool Browser hang when the color scheme (namely Charcoal) is enabled.
Hi Ihor,
It's not hanging for me at all with themes turned on (or off).
My only ideas are:
- I did some work with the locks tab since the last beta, but for me the locks tab is working ok. Do you have many locks in your database right now? If so, can you give me an idea of how many?
- I renamed some of the controls in the code. The only effect that would have on users is that maybe some of their settings in the Session Browser would be lost (just which tab was selected) but it should work after that.
- The last change that I made in Shared Pool Browser was May 11, so I'm not sure what's going on there.
You could try closing Session Browser, then going to user files folder and delete the SessionBrowser folder. That will reset Session Browser settings to default. I don't think that will fix this, but it's worth a shot.
Can you try it on a different database?
Clarification. When attempting to activate the specified modes, Toad stops responding to the keyboard and mouse.
The corresponding windows do not open.
I assume that when the color scheme is enabled, the “Addition Privileges Required“ window is displayed in an invisible area.
That does not help.
Ah, ok. Since that's a modal window and it's somewhere that you can't see it, the Session Browser seems locked.
I will check that out. I assume that once you grant whatever privilege it's asking for, the Session Browser functions normally.
Update: I can reproduce this - surprisingly, only when a color scheme is enabled. All is well if I disable color schemes.
I confirm this behavior.
Can I expect a fix?
Yes, of course!
Thank You, @JohnDorlon!
@Ihor_Taranenko I believe that I have this fixed for next beta. Will you please check it for me next week and let me know? We can't reproduce this consistently on some PCs. It seems that some windows settings are also at play here. Thanks.
Surely. Thank You, @JohnDorlon
I confirm the fix in the 26.1.84.7624. Thank You, @JohnDorlon !
