DB Admin Module (Oracle) Tablespace "Map"

In our previous TOAD v. 9.0 when you click on Database -> Administer -> Tablespaces you then see the buttons: Space, Files, Objects, Fragmentation, Space History, and IO History.

Since upgrading to v 11.0 the only buttons viewed are Files and Objects. We have the DB Admin Module showing in License 3 as an option. Have these other buttons been dropped or is this a congiguration issue?

Thanks.
Bob

We got rid of fragmentation because it’s mostly irrelevant with locally
managed tablespaces.

The other things should be showing if you have the DB Admin module, so it sounds
like that isn’t being recognized.

If you have multiple licenses entered, I’d try removing all but the one
with the most options.

Hi Bob,

I don't have buttons on mine per se, but tabs instead. The only tab I don't
have that you mentioned is Fragmentation, which I hope you wouldn't need
since Oracle 9-ish and the improvements in segment allocation.

When attempting to view Space or IO History, I got a warning that the Toad
Space Manager tables were not created. This would involve Toad creating a
user for you and populating it with some objects to collect the tablespace
history info. There's also a button on the far left to do this from either
of the history tabs. Other buttons are obviously greyed out as they require
the Space Manager objects (one can't report on history if it's not there!).
You'll of course want to verify this on TEST databases first!

I'm not really familiar with this part of Toad, but it's sounding like it
changed, perhaps significantly, from Toad v9 like most of the other parts.

Thanks to both of you. Removing the other licensing info made the Admin option the “default” and now it shows just fine.
