I have an exception report where I read keys from a Sharepoint list, then export the current exceptions that have not already been listed on SharePoint. The export template works perfectly when I open the template and run it. However, when I attempt to automate using the same template, I get the error “Export_1 - Connection is not available”.
The query first determines the exceptions from an Oracle DB. Then reads the keys from the SharePoint list. The new exceptions are the result of the query.
The export is to the same SharePoint list the keys were read from.
I am using SharePoint 2010 and TDP 3.8. This doesn’t seem to be a very complex application, but, I haven’t yet gotten it to work.
If you are not going to substitute the connection in export template, please uncheck “Use automation connection” box, or you have to specify the Oracle connection here. Please don’t use SharePoint connection.
The export/import to SharePoint List does not use SharePoint connection in connection manager, they are done using different technologies, and should not be mix used.
I thought you were exporting query from Oracle connection to SharePoint list. If you are using cross query with Oracle and SharePoint connections, this is totally fine.
Are you still get the “connection not available” error after unchecking the box?
