Using Toad Data Point 4.3 the Import Wizzard is not launching and the Import/Export wizard stops after setting the import items (just returns to the main Toad Data Point screen). The Export wizard is working.
You can go to application data directory (…\\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad Data Point 4.3\KnownExceptions.xml ), delete the content of KnownExceptions.xml file. Try to launch Import Wizard again to see if there is an exception. We can do nothing for the previous version as we work fine in both TDP 4.3 and TDP 5.0. Can you download and try this in the latest Beta?

By removing the KnownExceptions.xml file we will then see certain types of excpetions instead of suppressing them. You could also post your execeptiontrace.log to this post. We could look and see if there are errors in there. We suspect there is an exception that is causing the error.
