Install failed to import settings

Every time I install a new version of TDP, the import settings step fails. In the past, I've been told to copy the contents of C:\Users\dbean\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software<previous version> to C:\Users\dbean\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software<newly installed version>. I went to try that this time, and there's no folder for v6.0 under C:\Users\dbean\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software. It looks like it also didn't recognize my license - there's a "Buy now" option at the top.

Is there another way to import the settings? Is there a plan to fix this functionality? It's literally never worked for me in the four years or so I've been using TDP.

  1. First, Log on as an administrator. Go to the path where the TDP SQL executable file is located and double-click the .exe setup files.
  2. Follow the installation instructions that are displayed on the screen.
