I really like the fast exit. After a few days of debugging something, it is nice just to close with "fast exit" and not be bothered with save prompts. Can we expand this idea to fast exit per connection?
Occasionally Fast Exit hangs Toad, leaving it non-responsive but with MDI window rapidly flashing. In Task Manager while the window is flashing the Toad Entry under Apps is gone, however there is still a process entry that must be manually killed.
Despite this issue, Fast Exit was a long overdue feature that is really appreciated.
Marc - I think that's a good idea. I'll see what I can do there.
Doug - The "fast exit" option just bypasses the code that checks to see if you have unsaved work. I wonder if there is some form type that won't close when this code is bypassed. Is it possible that it depends on which windows you have open?
I'll make note of the types of windows open the next few times I try Fast Exit.
I would be surprised if it wasn't mostly Editor and Schema Browser windows with the occasional Session Browser.
Yeah that's like 90% of Toad usage right there.
