I'm wondering if, as an enhancement request, you'd entertain the possibility of adding a refresh button on the Describe Object popup window. If, for example, I add an Index or Constraint, etc. I have no way to refresh the window (or tab) without closing and re-opening. Or if a colleague alters a view that I have open in my Describe Object window, I have to close it and re-open instead of just refreshing it to see the new code. The window is very handy as opposed to jumping to the schema browser window and this enhancement would make a great improvement.
Hi,
F5 works great, thank you, but this way is too implicit.
I believe that every new user would like to have a special button for it.
It becomes especially confusing when it is mentioned that the refresh button exists on the "Script" tab (although it should have a tip saying "F5", it does not).
So, I think it would be great to add this button to all tabs or just place one on the higher level. In this case, we have two options - either to do a refresh in one click for everything, which is the most logical (although it may take too much time), or to refresh only the active tab.
I believe it will make this fine program better.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll take a look in the describe window and see if there is a good place for a refresh button. F5 is a pretty standard refresh shortcut in window programs though, so I don't feel like it is very hidden. F5 works in Explorer, Chrome, Edge, etc.
Edit, 9/3/2024: This will be in the next beta and version 2024.2.
