Not Responding on restart after Windows shutdown

TOAD Edge freezes with “Not Responding” shown in Progress Information window when “Restoring previous state for connections”.

How do we initiate a clean restart?

Does the Toad Edge freeze forever or does it finish after freeze?
That progress windows should be cancelable.
And you can also turn off auto-restore in preferences:

It freezes forever.

That progress windows should be cancelable.

It is not. Repeated clicking on the “Cancel” button eventually produces a “This program is not responding” window.

And you can also turn off auto-restore in preferences

I cannot start it to get into preferences. Are there configuration files that can be externally edited to change the preferences?

One more question, do you use Toad Edge on WIndows or Mac?
Fast solution: backup and move (or delete) folder in user folder:
c:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad Edge\Data\.metadata

You can edit connections files in folders:
c:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad Edge\Data.metadata.plugins\com.quest.toad.mysql.core\

c:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad Edge\Data.metadata.plugins\com.quest.toad.postgre.core\

file connections.dat is in XML format so set property auto logon to false for specific connection:
false
