I’m using 7.0.1 and when running a select/procedure/package, etc, the output tab does not rise to the surface even when there is an error message. i can go over to it, but I have the preferences selected under General/User Interface to Automatically Show Output Window for all three options (Errors, Server output, Information). I have the output window pinned to the right column along with the Project Manager tab, Code Template tab, and Code Assistant tab if that make a difference.

Thank you for reporting this issue.
I have raised SQLNAV-1465 for it. Currently the workaround for you should be clicking the button “Show Output” in the main toolbar to make it displayed.
