I have some Toad Data Point files saved as tef files and I have created some pivot table grids within them. I’ve noticed that sometimes when I go back into these files the pivot grid summary is gone and I have to re-create them. Is this a known bug in the software?

i don't know of any issues. I used tef file and pivot with totals and a filter. This saves and reloads fine. Can you tell us what version of TDP you are using and what part of the pivot is not saving? Actually it would be ideal for you to post the tef file.
We are doing some large enhancements to the pivot grid. It would be nice to get more details on your issue. Do you have a moment to tell us more about this issue?
