Problem with editor window size

I work with a laptop connected to an external monitor - when I’m away, I work from the laptop monitor with a smaller resolution. In the editor in split screen mode I can’t even see the data grid or the split bar to re-position it. If I use F2 to switch between the query editor and the data grid I can’t see the top rows of the grid - I have to save the data and paste into excel to see the data - this is very annoying - how do I get control of the window sizes?

Try to use Ctrl-F2 (or was it Shift-F2?). That sets the splitter in the middle.
I have the same problem and that solves it.

Or save a desktop layout under the name SQL-Laptop that’s right for the
laptop, and when you open an editor on the small screen switch to that desktop.

That is a very nice idea. Never thought of that.

I remote desktop to my PC from home, and have a similar problem. Have to do it
as I can’t get straight to production. TOAD is the only program I have
such trouble. Could not figure it out yet. The resolution is different.

Nathan’s suggestion is your best bet. I do this myself with Delphi’s IDE and it
works great.
