To answer you, no, there is currently no way to rename a button on the Window
Bar. All the Window Bar options are in Options > Toolbars/Menus > Toolbars.

Maybe you’d like to open an Idea for that. “Option to make Window Bar buttons
for Editor caption match filename” so others can comment on it and we have the
discussion in one place.

Another enhancement I could envision would be an option to “group like Window
Bar buttons” so all those “Editor” buttons are grouped together.

Stephen had the thought offline of making the Hint of the button be the filename

that’s a good idea. of course you’d have to mouse over all those buttons.

Well, no easy way. It can be done, but it’s clunky. Customize the toolbars and
then edit the editor button via rt-click.

That’s something new for the beta, and not in the commercial release. It will
probably be removed from the beta because the purpose it was opened up is being
addressed in a different way. In the commercial release, the Window Bar and
Connection Bar are not customizable
