Toad not saving tabs from failure

My TOAD crashed and I had to shut down by task manager. Now I lost all my work because I had 3 tabs and it didn't save but one tab. Why is that? It should save all of it.

Maybe the code not saved hadn't been in the editor for 3 minutes? You can adjust that time here.

Also, if you are on Toad 14.0 or 14.1, you should update to 15.0. 14.x versions had problems with freezing/crashing.

ALso, look in the User Files folder, at the ~eb*.tmp files. You can view those files with notepad. One of them may contain your lost work.
