Another Enhancement thought...

I was just making some changes in the “Configure LHS Object Types” of the Schema
Browser. I was thinking how nice it would be to be able to set a default filter
(ie. All schemas but SYS) for each of those objects.

For instance, tables I want only the tables of the current instance, but for
Jobs and Scheduler Jobs (among others) I would want all the users.

Then when we clear the filter, it would go to the chosen default rather than a
blank filter.

Just a thought…

Goals are your personal statements of what you are truly willing to do to achieve what you really want to achieve.

An easy workaround would be to create a filter with your desired defaults. Then
go into the filter dialog and save it. In the future, instead of clearing your
filter, you can just reload the saved filter.

I’m not sure, but doesn’t this already exist? In the SB LHS, if you click on the Filter Schema Browser button, under Name Filter->Schema Name you can select “All except SYS” so that all objects of that type for all users are displayed.

I use this all the time to achieve exactly what (I think) you are proposing.

Not so much that it exists or doesn’t exist. You can create named filters, etc.
You can go into each individual Filter Screen and set it.

I was thinking (notice the Subject  that in your configuring of LHS, there was
some real estate that could be put to good use.
