I'm currently experiencing an issue that resembles a problem discussed in your forum thread titled Cursor Moves Text on Line Selection.
There have been a few reports of this recently. I am not sure what's causing it just yet. I have some configuration files from a user that came via Quest Support, but haven't dug in.
In one case there were some problems due to mixed font settings used in the Editor. Have you changed any font settings in Toad's Options on the Editor | Font and Styling page? Specifically have you set some styles to use fixed width fonts and other styles to use a variable width font or have you configured some styles to use a larger font size than others? In the case I looked at a few weeks ago the user was using fixed width fonts for everything except comments. The SQL Comment style was set to use a larger, variable width font. That was causing some of the issues, but not all.
@harmandeep.dhillon - What version of Toad are you on?
17.1 introduced an issue when scaling is set to something above 100% and if the default font size has been changed. The default Editor font is Consolas 10pt and in that setting and 125% scaling, for example, all is fine. If the font size is changed to 8pt, 12pt, 14pt, and anything else that is not a multiple of 10 then problems can appear. The issues may be that characters are painted together making them looked stacked and other issues with text jumping around especially when making a selection.
For the issues I've described, changing the High DPI settings for Toad.exe resolves them on my machine. I have sent the workaround on to another customer having these issues and I'm awaiting confirmation. You can try these on your machine and see if things are resolved. Please let me know how it turns out.
