Exiting from TOAD?

Yes, in the latest version of Toad, it prompts before closing anything. It’s actually been that way for several versions now. Of course, even in 8.5, you can turn this feature off in Toad’s options. I personally find “are you sure” dialogs annoying. At some point, we all stop reading them, don’t we? Why not just pay attention when we click in the first place.

It’s really too late to do anything about Toad 8.5, but if you get on the latest version, you can have an ‘are you sure’ prompt before anything closes, and you can also get the beta and tell us what you like and what you don’t, when something can be done about it.

Hi John,

I personally find "are you
sure" dialogs annoying. At some point, we all stop reading
them, don't we? Why not just pay attention when we click in
the first place.
In some Linux applications, they are sneaky. The "YES" and "NO" buttons
are not always where they were last time. You have to pay attention
before clicking. Simple and effective!

I’m glad I don’t have any apps like that. I would find that doubly
annoying! Reminds me of conversations with the kids. “Go to bed”.
“Do I have to?” “Yes”.

"Go to bed". "Do I have to?" "Yes".
Just another 5 minutes, please?

When they quit asking, be sure to check for the iPad under the mattress

Samuel Jackson reading an Adam Mansbach short story works for me.
